Ade is very similar to Torres in my opinion, both are strong and tall and wreck havoc to opponents defenses. They are both capable in the air and have the ability to score tons of goals. Both bring something new to the table when they are on the pitch and are great entertainers. Both were placed on the pitch as the chosen one to bring in the goals, Torres because Liverpool has no one else of calibre up front, and Ade because he was given the mantle to fill the shoes of the greatest Arsenal forward Theirry Henry. The difference between Ade and Torres, is where Torres has lost opportuniities due to a foolish rotation policy, Adebayor has lost opportunity due to overplay and Wenger's refusal to deepen his squad in the transfer window. With this saying Adebayor had a remarkable season, he overachieved his critics by scoring 20 goals to date, to fill the viod left by Henry, has totally worn defenses making the shooting range open for attacking midfielders. He did this for the greater part of the season all by his lonesome, as his partners RVP and Da Silva both had dreadful injuries this season.
Considering the task put before him Ade has done a remarkable job putting in goals while fighting fatigue and minor injuries and has carried his team to almost winning the premiership. Ade's only weakness is his lack of experience, shot selection, field position management and maturity. Ade has an incedible shot e.g his magnificent goal against the spurs, but while players like Torres and Ronaldo choose different types of shots depending on angle, Ade seems to be more wanton. He also enjoys the ball at his feet and tends to go wide, which is not where he is most effective, he needs to learn to stay central. He and his other teamates very young also showed that they lacked experience and maturity since they were exposed to new experiences such as horriffic injuries,, bad calls, psychological pressure of leading the table, they tended to celebrate after scoring goals on tough opponents such as the top four and not concentrate on the full 90 minutes. I believe he will definitely be a stronger player next year. next...Christiano Ronaldo.
